About PBC

Punxsutawney Brewing Company unknowingly began in 2010 with Carl Martin, a long time Punxsutawney resident, receiving a home brew kit as a gift. In 2013, he met Nathan Croyle, also a homebrewer, and they quickly discovered they had a common interest. 

In 2015, the duo registered the name Punxsutawney Brewing Company with the intent to open a brewery in the future. In the meantime, they participated in a local homebrew club, hosting several beer and Italian food pairings at Punxsy Pizza. In 2021, Austin Wolfe joined the Brew Crew, and discussions about the brewery reignited. 

On September 7, 2023, Punxsutawney Brewing Company was officially licensed and the taps began flowing soon after. PBC is a distribution-only brewing company, selling kegs and cans to local establishments, and appearing at events around the area.

Where are you located?

Our beer is brewed in Punxsutawney, PA. 

We do not have a taproom, but distribute to several local establishments. 

We also participate in many events selling drafts, 4-packs, merch, and growlers.

How big is your system?

We brew on a 1-barrel system, which allows for a wide variety of beer styles. 

We fill, seal, and label every can by hand, right in Punxsutawney. 

We do not keep a large backstock of beer - everything we make is fresh!
